Daniel Boone: Alright action venture detailing a chapter in the life of the legendary pioneer and his leading of some settlers west from North Carolina into Kentucky. O’Brien is well cast in the title role Cast includes George O’Brien, Heather Angel, John Carradine, Ralph Forbes, and Clarence Muse.  (75 minutes, 1936)

The Big Town: A rural city crapshooter with a “brilliant arm” comes to Chicago in the 1950s to become a big gambler, however still has a lot to learn. With that cast (and Lane as a stripper) it’s simple to watch although just as simple to forget. Cast includes Matt Dillon, Diane Lane, Tommy Lee Jones, Tom Skerritt, Lee Grant, Bruce Dem, Suzy Amis, David Marshall Grant, Lolita David (Davidovich), Cherty Jones, Gary Farmer, and Sarab Polley. Blithe Spirit: Delectable adaptation of Noel Coward’s comedy fantasy in regards to a guy whose long since passed first spouse appears to haunt-and tease him in his recently wedded life. Rutherford is remarkable as Madame Arcati, the metaphysical medium. This film made an Oscar for its visual effects. Cast includes Rex Harrison, Constance Cummings, Kay Hammond, Margaret Rutherford, Hugh Wakefield, and Joyce Carey.  (96 minutes, 1945)

Down to You: Prinze and Stiles futilely try to buddy us up by talking straight away into the camcorder, clarifying how their once idyllic college romance went bust (albeit not as bust as the film). In someway, this film manages to find room for subplots in reference to a Television show and a friend who has a try as an adult-film entrepreneur with a sort of bohemian knowledgeable porn actress. La Prisonuiere: From the head of Diabolique comes this ambiguous, bewildered study of afemale addicted to a photographer of sadomasochism. This film is truly a remarkably piece of art. Cast includes Laurent Terzieff, Bernard Fresson, Elsabeth Wiener, Dany Carrel, Dario Moreno, and Daniel Riviere.  (104 minutes, 1959)

The Sea Hawk: Top of the line amalgamation with Flynn at his streaking best in venture on the high oceans. The film has a vigorous balance of piracy, romance, and swordplay, handsomely shot, and orchestrated with exciting Erich Wolfgang Komgold score.
