Cartoons And Their Vans (Part 2)

November 29th, 2009 by admin | No Comments | Filed in How to copy DVD movies

The list is ever growing, here are the next lot on the list that have had something to do with a vans, some are obvious, some are weirds and some are just plain wrong.

These cartoons actually compete with each other for viewings and ratings and it really is up to you on which one you like the most. There haven’t been many van appearances in them but when there have, they have been pretty funny.

News Van- Simpsons

Kent Brockman is the newsreader from the Simpsons that has a lot to do with vans because the company obviousy own a news van. Kent is never seen driving the van itself but it is a known fact that he does not come up with all of these quirky remarks himself, the team in the van channel them through to him.

Police Van With Family Guy

The van has only ever featured in one episode of the series and was used to listen in on a conversation between Lois and an ex. Peter is of course thinking that Lois is having an afair with her ex when in reality she has just gone to the local coffee shop for a drink. Peter of course is not listening from the start so thinks the worst when in actual fact it really isnt too bad at all.

Kenny Loves Ice Cream- South Park

There have been a lot of vans in this series simply because it has gone on for such a long time, the best one has to be this one. The van has only ever appeared in one episode and in the episode did not manage to serve ice-cream but to kill Kenny.

So there it is, the best vans ever to exist in cartoon history. Let us just hope that these toons looked into commercial contract hire for their vans to save a bit of money. Van contract hire could actually be a better way to use a van as it is a lot cheaper than buying one outright.

Famous Cartoon Vans (Part 1)

November 29th, 2009 by admin | No Comments | Filed in How to copy DVD movies

There are actually quite a few cartoons out there that feature cartoon characters that drive, own or have something to do with a van and many of them are tuned in by millions a day. Some of these are made for the smaller generations and some of these havent seen any real success in the cartoon world in a lomg while. Here are just a few of them.

The Famous Mystery Machine

This has to be the top van out of all of the cartoon vans. In terms of putting a van inside a cartoon this is the one that really kicked it off. 1969 is the year in which Scooby Doo was first aired making it a whopping forty years old this year! The show has been running ever since and has not lost its original format of solving monster of an apparent monster. It is pressumed that they always use someone in disguise instead of a real monster so that younger kids are not scared. I wonder if the gang have the van on Van Leasing

Postman Pat’s Van

This is more of a stop-motion feature than a cartoon but it has to be mentioned as it is certainly the most famous van to be made by somebody here in Britain It was first screened in 1981 and a newer series was made for 2006. This show was really aimed at the younger generations of people and I will admit to watching the show when I was young myself. The brilliant thing about Postman Pat is that he is the only Postman able to deliver the post on time!

Cheap vehicle contracts has got to be something that these toons held in their minds when getting these vans.

Part two of this will actually feature toons from the Family Guy and South Park series, which has the best van. Small van leasing is key for the next part.

Creating a Great Screenplay

November 27th, 2009 by admin | No Comments | Filed in How to copy DVD movies

Writing screenplays isn’t as daunting as most people would think. Though the number of screenplays being turned into movies are not at the highest rate, the chances are still great if you have the basic tools need to draft up a dazzling Screenplay, with great dialog, smooth pacing, and a great plot.

Get Ready

To start off with, make sure that you are really ready to start the endeavor of writing a movie screenplay. There are lots of tips, and bits of information to remember, though they are fairly easy to accomplish and master.

1. What’s your Story About?

Ask yourself the question, “What story am I to write about?Remember that there is no difference between the plot and the story. Both give the reader an idea of what they are going to be reading. There are many plots, and some of them have turned into blockbusters. For example, there was a plot about killer sharks swimming at the local beach. Another plot consisted of a an alien coming to Earth, and befriending a young boy, who was discovered in hiding. Yet another is of a man who has blackouts as a child, and realizes later on in life that he can go back in time… then change things. Whatever plot or story that you come up with, make sure it’s a really good one, as well.

2. You Must Have a Hero and a Villain

A story would not be a complete story without a hero and a villain. The wonderful thing about stories, and imagination, is that a hero could be anything, a person, a group of people, all fighting for a something or someone. Just as well, the villain could be anything, an organization, animal, or someone not even human. It could be a ghost! The reason why both of these people are key ingredients for a great plot is because the hero is someone that the movie goer can relate to. They have to have a reason to sit through almost two hours of a movie, and the hero must provide that, along with the plot. Also, the villain must be there to throw off the progress of your hero. Remember both your hero and villian must each have something that they want to achieve, and the villain must be there to stop the hero in any way, shape, form, or fashion. This builds drama and suspense, both wonderful ingredients for an entertaining story.

3. You Must Have Conflict

Conflict, drama, or obstacles must constantly be in your hero’s way. For this, you must turn to your villain, and give them a reason to stop your hero from getting what he/she most desires. At the same time, you don’t want to outwit your hero so much that the audience feels absolutely no hope. People want to see ordinary people succeed, because they consider themselves ordinary, as well. For example, J.R.R. Tolkien’s book, The Lord of the Rings. Frodo, the hero, and small hobbit was a mere three feet tall, and managed to take the precious ring to Mount Doom, even after being stabbed by a sword, a giant spider, and having his finger bitten off. Lots of obstacles were present, but with a fair amount of successes as well.

4. Focus on Pacing

The pacing of your screenplay must be smooth, not too slow, and not too fast.

Risk of being too slow-

Needless to say, if your screenplay’s pacing is slow, people will get bored to death. The one thing you don’t want your audience, of a slush pile reader for that matter, is walking out on your story. You want to constantly keep your audience entertained by giving new plot information with each scene, and a wonderful climax at the end.

Risk of being too fast-

Going too fast can, sometimes, confuse the audience, or the reader. Try to make sure the pacing is even, with a slow scene to follow behind a fast action packed one. The balance should be so smooth and graceful in order that the reader or audience will crave for more, or feel blissfully satisfied after the climax and resolution scenes.

5. Please, No More Than 120 Pages!

Your screenplay should come in at no more than 120 pages. Now, if you believe your movie can only be told in over 120 pages, then go right ahead. However, it’s not a good idea to push the page count over 150; at that point, your “masterpiece” will be directly rejected. Slush pile readers have many, sometimes, hundreds of other screenplays to read, and they want the shortest ones with the most potential.

Follow your instincts when it creating the story you wish to tell, but follow these tips, and make sure you put them into memory, because they are screenwriting law, especially if you wish to get work as a screenwriter. Buy the Best HD Television for your Tastes and your Budget

November 27th, 2009 by admin | No Comments | Filed in How to copy DVD movies

HDTVs are in more homes than ever today, and those who don’t have them yet are preparing to buy them. Today’s sleek, flat HDTV designs plus crystal clear picture quality are a dream come true for TV lovers.

There are many different brands and HDTV styles on the market today. Depending on the size, brand name and HDTV features, you can spend just a few hundred dollars or up to a few thousand. The most important thing to keep in mind when purchasing an HDTV is your personal preferences and how to best meet them within your budget.

Browsing online HDTV retailers is a great way to understand and decide on features and exactly what you want in a new TV. You can also explore reviews of popular HTDTV brands to learn about consumers’ experiences, preferences and complaints. The more time you spend learning about HDTV options, the more likely you are to make a purchase you’ll be happy with long term.

Today there are 6 types of HDTVs to choose from: Cathode-ray Tube (CRT) direct view, Rear Project CRT, Liquid-Crystal Display (LCD), Plasma, Microdisplays and Front Video Projector TVs.

The CRT direct view TV uses a cathode-ray tube, grids, an anode and a sealed vacuum glass housing. CRTs make pictures using analog signals though they can be driven by digital signal processing circuits to produces images of high quality. This type has been in service for a long time and is still very effective in translating adequate video and audio from HDTV type networks.

The CRT rear projection TV uses the same CRT set up but projects the images onto a much bigger screen using lenses and mirrors. This is an easy way to make TVs with very large screens; however, the resolution will be found inadequate without the help of digital signal processing circuits to make the resolution of the images better. Most of these types come with built-in stands. These are great for home theaters.

Liquid Crystal Display TVs use thousands of tiny elements, each of which has a liquid crystal solution wherein super-small transistors are mounted to make the crystals twist into different positions. A fluorescent backlight source is polarized before its light reaches the elements. By manipulating these crystals to open and close or twist into different positions and using miniature color filters you can have a full-color video. LCD TVs weigh less than their CRT counterparts.

Plasma TVs feature fixed pixel structure. Red, green and blue pixels are shaped inside an assembly of intersecting struts sealed between 2 glass plates and a static gas mixture is present in any given pixel. Electric voltage applied to any particular pixel ionizes gas that produces ultraviolet light which in turn strikes different colored phosphors and produces colors. A black color results when the voltage is removed. Through the usage of additional electrodes, the charging and discharging of gases is sped up, making full-motion video possible.

Microdisplay TVs uses digital micro mirror technology to refract light which is then projected to a wider screen.

Front Video Projector TVs have the same technology as the CRT rear projection TVs.

Once you decide on a particular type of HDTV, you’ll next need to pick a size. Bigger doesn’t always mean better when it comes to HDTVs. You should choose a TV that suits the room where it will be viewed. A better quality 42-inch HDTV could allow you to make more of your budget compared to buying a lesser quality big screen TV.

This liquid crystal makes pixel too on the screen, and then every pixel will emit light around 20 ms which creates LCD TV to produce images up to 50 frames per second. LCD TV and the means to produce high-quality images and comfortable in the eyes

Watching TV using LCD TV for hours does not make eye pain or headache, because of the absence of cathode ray tubes in LCD TV makes little contrast and cause less tension when compared to CRT TV. Although many would believe the Brad Pitt hobbies are acting and movies, what is it that Brad really enjoys when he is not entangled in another movie production?

In various interviews and associations with fans, Brad has disclosed several of the activities that he enjoys when not portraying the likable characters we familiarize ourselves with on the silver screen. Brad Pitt Height – An Introduction

November 25th, 2009 by admin | No Comments | Filed in How to copy DVD movies

Recently, many Internet forums have hosted an array of deliberations and pondering concerning the Brad Pitt height disagreement. These Internet discussions seem to be enamored with the true height of movie superstar Brad Pitt. Despite the general knowledge that the Brad Pitt height is between 5′ 10″ and 6′ 0″, several forums continue to devote entire threads to the Brad Pitt height debate.

An indisputable fact is that many of the forum posters are very enthusiastic regarding their position on their Hollywood idol. The slinging of harsh words and criticism is certainly aimed at people who would attempt to disparage the name of Brad Pitt.

In order to resolve the Brad Pitt height mystery, some people have resorted to testing “scientific theories” to prove their point. One such fan posted pictures] and claims the standing near his co-actors and friends prove he is taller than 5′ 10″. Another claims they met Brad in person and they can tell he is not 5′ 10″ as they ‘eyeballed’ his height at least 6′.

This stirring dispute seems to have more practical use as fodder for the tabloids than it does for serious debate. It may be that Brad’s fanatical followers do not want him classified as an average height person, especially since according to United States Health statistics, the average American white male is 177 cm tall, which is 69.7 inches, or 5′ 9.7″ tall. That statistic would place Brad Pitt height in the average.

Aside from all the banter back and forth, there may be a plausible explanation to the Brad Pitt height debate. In 2004, while filming the movie Troy, Brad Pitt injured his Achilles tendon. According to news reports the injury forced a three-month postponement in shooting the final scenes of the film while he healed. It is rumored that after the accidental injury, Brad Pitt began wearing corrective shoes to protect his Achilles tendon from future damage. The ‘corrective shoes’ may include lifts that cause Brad to appear taller than he actually is.

Another explanation as to the Brad Pitt height deviations could be related to his perfect posture. There are many claims that his posture is so perfect as compared to others who slouch, that Brad appears taller, even when side-by-side with people of the same height.

Although these explanations and many less plausible ones may help to explain the Brad Pitt height debate, the only true source and real answer could be found through Brad himself. In the early 1990′s Brad listed his own height at 5′ 11″ in a teen magazine profile, and later a popular Internet movie database at 5′ 10 3/4″. Nevertheless his true measurement will without a doubt continue to be the subject of discourse among fans and consequently preserve the continued Brad Pitt height debate.
